As one of our driver's said, "It's rainy, it's miserable, it's buggy, and it's cold. So come rent some canoes!"
Not all of us in the office agree with him today. I don't think any of us would say this is a perfect day for a canoe trip down the Saco. However, it is a good day to plan ahead for the nicer weather and start reserving canoes. The boss has already told us that one or two Saturdays in July we are sold out and can only rent kayaks for!
So, today may be dreary and wet, but it wont be like this forever.... I hope.

Busy Busy Busy
There are many ways people spend their summer days. One of them is renting a canoe from Saco Valley Canoe. Many will agree that this is a great way to cool off. You should be warned however, if you've been putting off making a reservation, don't dilly dally any longer! July weekends are filling up fast. Already, the weekends of July 8, 15, and the 29th are all close to being sold out.
Are you waiting because you aren't sure of what trip you would like to take?
There are three options for day trips. A 3.8 mile trip from Swan's Falls to Canal Bridge that usually takes about 2 hours. There's a 7 mile trip from Canal Bridge to Walker's Bridge that takes around 3 and a half hours. And if you're feeling really adventurous you can combine the trips and go from Swan's Falls to Walker's Bridge all in one day!
These day trips and all other trips include a shuttle service from our base to the drop off point and back. Don't forget, we do the work so you can have the fun!

Summer Begins!
Tomorrow that is...
It's been a buggy spring but you know what they say around here. The bugs should only last from Mother's Day to Father's Day. Hopefully they'll get the message soon and leave us alone from now on!
